ONE-STEP EASY INSTALL LATH DRAINAGE SYSTEM
For the Installation of Stucco, Natural and Manufactured Thin Stone, & Thin Brick.
A CUTTING-EDGE SOLUTION
Parge Guard is revolutionizing the lath and drainage industry by developing and perfecting an innovative system for adhered masonry and stucco. This cutting-edge solution tackles various challenges related to code compliance, warranty issues, and moisture control on building exteriors, including addressing problems caused by sun-driven moisture.
The Parge Guard system features a 2.5 or 3.4-gauge galvanized lath and incorporates a built-in drainage plane. Designed in an interlocking, overlay pattern, this system takes the guesswork out of installation. Our one-step system creates a code-compliant overlay, seamless drainage plane, and ensures your lath is installed correctly every time.
PARGE GUARD INSTALLATION
Watch the video below for detailed installation instructions.
STEP 1:
On a structurally-sound and properly moisture-managed surface, install a starter strip over all penetrating areas. This will act as a level for Parge Guard.
STEP 2:
Add one layer of Weather Resistant Barrier (WRB) on top of the starter strip.
STEP 3:
Install Parge Guard into the starter strip, beginning at a corner and working right to left, securing each panel with coded nails or screws. The pre-engineered lath will overlap adjacent panels to meet code requirements.
STEP 4:
Repeat the process to the left and to the top of the panels, nailing the overlaps and making sure to stagger the vertical seams of the panel below. Cut as required to completely cover the area of the structure.
STEP 5:
Once all of your Parge Guard panels have been installed, install & caulk a foam backer rod on the vertical sides of your windows & doors.
STEP 6:
Finally, you are now ready to lay down a scratch coat, and adhere the masonry products of your choice.
